After graduating from LSU law school in 1994, she began her legal career in New Orleans before moving to Lafayette, where she has continued to practice law even after moving to Jennings over four years ago. Karen and Stuart are grateful they have been able to return home and live in Jennings, surrounded by their extended family and life-long friends. Since moving home, Karen and Stuart have become actively involved in our community and proudly embraced opportunities to serve and invest in a better future for Jeff Davis Parish.
It is the call to serve our parish that has compelled Karen to run for the position of District Judge. She has 32 years of experience practicing law in state and federal courts throughout Louisiana. Karen has worked extensively with a diverse group of clients and lawyers, has managed complex litigation cases in courts across the state, and has navigated challenging disputes that require sound judgment, patience, and fairness. She has the expertise necessary to manage dockets and move cases to conclusion. Karen’s knowledge and experience have prepared her to run a courtroom that is fair, efficient, and focused on results.
